PERIOD: from 12th July to 25th July

 

Carriage Cleaning

To facilitate the cleaning of carriages on the River Side at Llangollen Station the set is to be moved to P2 at the end of the day on Tuesdays. The only exception to this is if an Evening Summer Ramble is operating.

Traffic Notice 11-10

 

Steam Engine Water Supplies

Use river water from P2 column whenever possible. Ensure engine always filled before going back to shed. Use town main supply in yard only as last resort. (Water Quality)

 

Pentrefelin Yard

Entry by Steam or Diesel Engines.
No tender engine or large Diesel loco is to go beyond entrance gates unless authorised by CME. Tank engines, Diesel shunters, Type 2 diesels may enter without reference, provided each point is checked that the blade is firmly against stock rail and check rails/frogs are clear before passing over it.

 

Number 7 and 8 sidings. (Nearest river)
Under no circumstances shall any person be positioned between roads 7 & 8 during shunting operations due to lack of adequate clearance. (HMRI requirement)

 

Shunting of Autocoaches in No 8 Road Pentre Felin. (No 8 Road is the Dee River side.)
Following report of a buffer-lock please ensure that no other vehicle is ahead of autocoaches when shunting this siding.

LLANGOLLEN RAILWAY – SECTION C NOTICE

NEW/REPLACEMENT SIGNAL AT LLANGOLLEN GOODS JUNCTION

The double disc/shunting signal at Llangollen Goods Junction, controlled by Pentre Ground Frame, which applied to Down movements from the Back Road to the Down Main or Pentre Road has been replaced with a single disc/shunting signal.

The new signal has a black background and a yellow stripe.

It can be passed in the ‘On’ position provided that the points are set for Pentre Road.

When the points are set for the Down Main it can only be passed when in the ‘Off’ position.
